How to Get More from Your Diesel
When you’re towing a boat or a camper and trying to merge onto a busy highway, your diesel truck can use all the extra muscle it can find. A diesel engine has no spark to enhance or advance, but there are other parts of the engine that can be upgraded to improve street and towing performance. Our upgrade plan has 3 major components:
1. Exhaust
A free-flowing performance exhaust works just as well on a diesel truck as on a gasoline truck. The engine can use its power to turn the wheels instead of pushing out exhaust.
2. Intake
Combustion takes air, and more air means better combustion. A cold air kit brings in more cool, dense air to help burn fuel more completely.
3. Tuning
An electronic tuner for a diesel engine can modify characteristics like air intake and fuel injection to burn fuel more efficiently, providing more power and fuel economy under a variety of conditions.
